 Old Cordell Academy in Cordell, OK. Opened in 1906, under auspices of the Dutch Reformed Church, this pioneer school taught the youth here in Christian living. Its motto was  Postcard sent to Speed family from Mr. and Mrs. Lou A. Pearson.  Believed to be a home being built by Edward Lewis Speed and Speed family crew. Mary (Aunt Puss) Caroline Speed and Sylvestor (Vester) Mosaly. Mary was the daughter of Charles Stewart Speed and Martha Ann Cowel. She was also the sister of Henry Lewis Speed.
