The next five records were copied from pages 96, 116, 219, 229, and 230 of the Richmond County, North Carolina Estate Records 1772-1933; Book II (Hardy-Meekins); Index-NOPQRS. It appears that the court ordered (page 96) some parcels of land and slaves sold which belonged to the estate of Colonel John Speed because of some liability against the then deceased Colonel John Speed.
