The following is a description and an actual "Balquhidder Kirk Communion Token" that was issued in 1720 by then Kirk Minister, James Robertson, to the church members who were considered eligible to take holy communion that year. I purchased the Communion Token from Rosemary Whittmore, a member of the present day Balquhidder Kirk, with the proceeds going to the Balquhidder Church Fabric Fund.
